Business Intelligence Assistant (Sefton Schools Data) – Permanent

Sefton Council is seeking to recruit a Business Intelligence Assistant to its Performance and Business Intelligence Team to assist in ensuring that Council records of children on role at Sefton schools is accurate and up to date. Developing good working relationships with school office staff to ensure data quality is maintained will be a key part of the role.

You will utilise ICT systems to process daily data files and liaise with schools/other local Council departments to resolve data conflicts, processing large volumes of data in timely and accurate manner.

You will be required to produce and distribute Business and Performance reports as directed by senior members of the team, assisting in updating and checking data sets that are uploaded to our data warehouse and ensuring that all reports are running correctly.

Previous experience of gathering and analysing data using business intelligence tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft power BI, Microsoft SQL Services Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Excel is desirable.

We are looking for someone who is interest in data, producing and analysing reports, enthusiastic about learning new, specialist knowledge and can work well alone and within a team.
