Key responsibilities
- Delivering data experimentation to optimise how we target and segment consumers for targeted offers and promotions
- Interrogate large volumes of data from a range of sources (online, customer verbatims, transactional etc) to use for modelling
- Build predictive models to support business decision making
- Build prescriptive tools (automated decisioning) with measurable commercial value – especially improving our marketing ROI
- Conduct proactive research to identify new ideas and opportunities
- Influence the business to adopt new tools and techniques
- Continually invest time for your own professional development, ensuring you keep up to date with industry advancements
- Contribute to the Screwfix Analytics and Insight community
Required skills & experience
- Excellent problem solver
- Good understanding of key analysis/modelling techniques
- Able to combine and manipulate large and complex data sources
- Comfortable using programming languages such as R or Python
- Strong communicator
- Can summarise complex information
- Has attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills
- Prioritise and organise effectively
- Work independently or within a team
