You will have full commercial control of the department(s), including stock ordering and merchandising and, using available data provided to you, will lead a team to maximise sales and provide a superior level of customer service. A retail fashion background is not essential for this role but having strong leadership and coaching skills, a commercial mind set and exposure to a fast paced environment is. Many Department Managers join us from positions such as Sales, Floor or Department Manager of a similar size store or Assistant or Store Manager of a smaller size store to ours.
