About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Advanced Technology team. This team is envisioning the future of our robotics solutions, including robotic arms, robotics, control software, data pipelines, user-facing applications and simulation software – with this role in particular collaborating with the wider team through a data-first approach to encourage the proactive integration of data products into our offerings.

Our environment is one of agile development with a focused approach to constant delivery of high value solutions, with the Product Manager role at the core of the agile development methodology. In this position you’ll be required to build up and maintain a healthy level of trust and collaboration with the Head of Data, champion a data product mindset and maintain a cross-functional view of our data practices and products, requiring close and continuous collaboration with other Product Managers in the department. You will also possess a learning mindset, with the ability to understand user requirements, perform trials and experiments to further understand user behaviour.

Due to the highly technical environment in which our robotics are developed, you must also be technically competent to be able to understand the systems, be able to prioritise development and work closely with business users and developers to decide product direction.

This position is based at our office in Welwyn Garden City, travel may be required. We’re also happy to talk flexible working with you!

About you

  • Demonstrable experience as a Product Manager/Owner (with a retail technology background)

  • Experience managing delivery of data products (or developing them as an individual contributor)

  • Knowledge and experience of working with multiple functional areas, including Project Management, Engineering, UX/UI

  • Strong experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels across functions

  • Able to work autonomously and handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience defining product roadmaps, building collaboratively with design and engineering peers, and shipping value-driven products at scale

  • Able to engage confidently in technical conversations with engineering teams

  • Proven ability to plan, manage, track and deliver on commitments

  • Experience capturing and communicating requirements to support product realisation
