About the role

As part of the Advanced Technology division at Ocado, our robotics teams are working on robotic pick and place systems that will further improve the efficiency of our OSP CFCs and beyond.

In this Product Manager role you will be working with a complex product early in its development cycle. Partnering with an Engineering Team Lead, you are jointly accountable for realising the delivery of simulation tools that service our robotics teams needs.

In Advanced Technology, simulation is a key part of our development cycle, allowing teams to validate their concepts quickly, accelerating time to insight and solving real world novel problems. You will use your product craft expertise and deep understanding of this complex technical space to be a key go-to person for simulation. You will understand your users needs and decide on product direction with data backed decisions. With your engineering partner you will define a deliverable product roadmap, with clear requirements that allow the engineering team to focus on delivering effective solutions.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you have…

  • A passion for simulation!

  • An interest OR experience in robotics

  • Demonstrable experience of working in an agile environment, ideally as a Product Owner, Product Manager or a similar role

  • Knowledge of working with multiple functional areas, including Project Management, Engineering, UX/UI

  • User-focused – ability to understand needs and identify priorities to unlock value

  • Defining product roadmaps, building collaboratively with Design and Engineering peers

  • Strong technical skills and an analytical, process driven mindset

  • Proven ability to plan, manage, track and deliver on commitments

  • Ability to work in a team effectively and work autonomously as appropriate
