We provide services to partner clients globally via our innovative advanced robotics technology, known as the Ocado Smart Platform (“OSP”), this drives our highly automated, multi-million pound Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs). In our CFCs – together with the proprietary software applications – we operate a world-class online grocery business that automates the single pick of products, ready for your online delivery.

About the role

The main purpose of this Product Manager role is to ensure that the deployment tools owned by this team provides support for the other teams in this department to support their goals to provide automated, reliable and frequent updates to software used in Customer Fulfilment Centres. This role requires working horizontally with Product Managers and their Engineering counterparts across many other vertical teams, to incorporate all views and requirements, balancing them to make the right product and investment decisions.

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • Experience working with a dedicated engineering software team
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an agile environment as a Product Manager
  • Proven ability to plan, manage, track and deliver on commitments
  • Ability to work across teams & autonomously as appropriate
  • An understanding and appreciation for industrial automation development and design
  • Strong technical skills and an analytical mind set
  • Defining product roadmaps and building collaboratively with design and engineering peers

It would be great but it is not essential if you have…

  • Domain experience of release management for edge computing devices and AWS
  • Domain experience with deployment solutions for PLC software (Siemens TIA & Twincat, ROS)
  • Domain experience with PLC devices
