Job Overview Provide effective management of all Financial and Contractual activity, consisting of all commercial matters and financial processes required in recording cost, value and providing surveying advice to the Client. Main Duties Preparing and submitting tenders and quotations for work in align with agreed margins. Inviting and collecting quotations from material suppliers and subcontractors. Assessing the levels of commercial risk on projects and clear communication of the same to senior management. Actively seek enquiries and invitations for potential projects. Visiting potential clients and sites to survey in order to prepare subsequent tenders and quotations. To assist with the development of the Mitie client offering. Main duties Communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral form. Work independently and organise complex analytical tasks. Research materials, equipment and labour costs. Analysing company data, rates, and prices, using software packages. Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting buying opportunities. Take off materials, quantities from drawings and plans. Produce Bills of Quantities. Answer detailed Pre-Construction Qualification Questionnaires. Maintain financial records accurately. Participate in training and development activities as appropriate. Undertake other duties as requested by the Line Manager. Promote relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors. Develop and maintain new clients. Handover projects in a clear and defined manner to the contracts operation team. Apply fundamentals of Health & Safety when preparing quotations. Provide a knowledge and a high proficiency of commercial acumen in all bids and quotations. Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time. Understand and comply with policies and procedures. Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner. Attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required.
