Job Description:

The General Services Department is seeking a Project Manager with architectural experience to manage the vertical design and construction of facility projects for multiple client departments.
Candidates should be able to manage several projects simultaneously and efficiently, demonstrate strong communication and coordination skills, possess a thorough understanding of design knowledge, architectural standards, building codes, vertical building construction processes and project delivery methods. This candidate will supervise and coordinate all phases of the projects, from programming to construction administration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop scope, schedule, and budget for vertical facility projects.
  • Will drive to ensure completed project work meets the required obligations under the contract and ensure compliance with FEMA requirements.
  • Manage, develop, and maintain good relationship with client and contractor representatives, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Procure, negotiate, and manage vertical design and construction contracts.
  • Review design drawings, oversee construction, coordinate and manage internal and external stakeholders such as IT, Security Management, Property Management, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in construction, construction inspection, design, geotechnical, environmental or a closely related field are required.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management,
  • Landscape Architecture, Project Management or a closely related field based on the responsibilities of the position. Considerable knowledge of design or construction is required.
  • Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
