An exciting opportunity has arisen at Basildon Council for a Finance Assistant to join our busy and challenging Corporate Finance department. This will involve a mixture of working from home and being in the office.
You will be a member of the Financial Processing Team who are responsible for the prompt payment of invoices to all of the Council’s creditors, as well as ensuring the smooth running of the Corporate Financial Management System.
- In addition, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team to ensure that team objectives are delivered within timescales and to a high standard.
- Experience of the processes of a purchase ledger would be an advantage but you will also be computer literate, numerate and be able to produce accurate work within tight deadlines.
- You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills as this role deals with both internal and external customers.
