Sitting within Ocado's Group IT function, the Technical Services Support (TSS) team is a dynamic and challenging environment, with new technologies being constantly developed and deployed. Our Technical Support Engineers (known internally as End-User Computing (EUC) Engineers) work to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day technical objectives. They deliver exceptional customer service through top-notch 1st and 2nd line technical support to employees; who may be working at one of our Head Offices, distribution sites, or remotely. The team delivers against projects and tasks and also provides technical incident management to support business operations. What would I be doing? Please note this is a 12-month FTC. As a EUC Engineer, you would: Provide efficient 1st IT Technical support. Be able to own processes, follow policies and procedures clearly, and possess the initiative to highlight necessary amendments, ensuring documentation is current. Continually seek, promote and realise opportunities to optimise the EUC service proposition. Have a keen focus on service level agreements (SLA’s) and would be able to set clear expectations for the customer. Deliver a first-class service, focusing on customer satisfaction and responding to internal customers' needs. Maintain and support Windows and Apple technologies within offices, responding to issues in an efficient and timely manner. Participate and implement elements of business projects as and when required. The TSS team are currently providing business support between 07:00 - 19:00 (Monday - Friday). Typical working hours are 08:00 - 17:00, however, there will be the occasional rota requirement to cover early and late shifts. This role will require you to work from our Hatfield Head Office 2 days per week. What we are looking for: Recent experience of 1st line support experience within a large helpdesk or desktop support team A proven track record of providing high-quality customer service and communication skills for company executives. The ability to provide technical support on Apple OS and Windows 10. A logical problem-solving approach through to resolution. The ability to work well as part of a team, supporting other members of the Technical Support Team. A full, clean UK driving license. This would make you stand out from the crowd: Exposure to the Bash shell scripting/Windows Powershell technology would be beneficial. iOS and Android configuration skills are desirable. An IT qualification would be desirable (i.e. ITIL Foundation, NVQ etc.). An understanding of audio-visual technologies. An understanding of network infrastructure.
