Job description The International Senior Campaigns Advisor role offers a rare opportunity to work on a key Ministry of Justice priority that sits within the International Portfolio, managing and delivering insight and evidence-based programmes on the ambitious international GREAT Legal Services campaign – part of the UK Government’s flagship GREAT campaign. The role involves leading on and building close working relationships with FCDO, DIT, running major international events, MoJ Trade and International teams, legal and wider professional services stakeholders and firms, and colleagues in embassies around the world. There is a level of expectation that you will be required to travel overseas to deliver on key campaign activity, with the team recently working alongside stakeholders in South Africa and the UAE. As part of the role and you may also be required to contribute towards the MoJ’s domestic agenda. You will lead teams responsible for the development and delivery of programmes, projects and major events including external suppliers and marketing agencies, to support the international growth of the UK legal services sector in priority markets. You will be expected to be confident in working with senior stakeholders and producing exemplary written content. The role is ideal for a dynamic and creative communicator who is passionate about delivering first class communications and campaigns and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Head of International Campaigns. Key responsibilities Project manage and oversee delivery of the MoJ’s priority international campaigns – leading on specific project portfolios and country programmes, and key internal and external relationships. Translate the big picture ideas into action – take strategic aims and turn them into work plans, programmes and activity. Be a strong team player and be able to develop and foster long-term strategic partnerships both in and outside government. Work with other team members to develop, deliver and evaluate campaigns against clear objectives, outcomes and timeframes and embed work in insight and evidence. Act as a champion for our work across government, collaborating and building relationships with colleagues across the MoJ, other government departments, external organisations, firms and stakeholders, and colleagues in embassies and regional hubs around the world. Successfully deliver campaign messages across multiple platforms and channels working with stakeholders, partners and government. Lead on the development of excellent written content for external communications channels and official documents in support of campaigns and communications activity. Develop strong sector and market knowledge, and a good understanding of the business priorities for different policy areas, helping to anticipate and identify conflicting priorities and flagging risks by working closely with policy teams. Manage and motivate delivery teams to help you deliver on the above. Skills, experience and attributes Effective and persuasive communicator and project manager with previous experience leading programmes and campaigns. Be delivery and outcome-focused with excellent written and oral communications skills. Creativity and keenness to develop and deliver innovative, low and no cost external communication campaigns, using digital, owned, earned and offline channels. Ability to understand complex and technical policy issues and translate these for different external audiences, reacting quickly to unexpected developments. Excellent organisational skills and experience in managing delivery teams – motivated to work in a fast-paced, highly-motivated professional team. An enthusiastic and supportive team-player with a proactive attitude and collaborative working style. Comfortable and confident working with senior stakeholders (board level executives, senior officials and ministers) and managing these relationships. Previous experience working at international level is preferred. An interest in international work and the legal services sector is essential. Your salary will be dependent on your base location Additional Information Working Arrangements & Further Information The MoJ offers Hybrid Working arrangements where business need allows. This is an informal, non-contractual form of flexible working that blends working from your base location, different MoJ sites and / or from home (please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas).
